I'm posting this early since it's being held earlier in the month. See you all there!
Project Sage is a personnel development program funded by the Office of Special Education (OSEP) in the Dept. of Education and administered by United Tribes Technical College in Bismarck, North Dakota. This five-year grant provides professional and educational opportunities for 20 candidates to become competent, caring licensed teachers with Elementary Education baccalaureate degrees and coursework for a ND Early Childhood Special Education endorsement.

January Monthly Seminar
The monthly meeting for Project Sage will be held Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 12 noon in Building 61. This is the same building we've met in for past meetings (upstairs from Security).
Your attendance at these seminars is expected - and we'll provide you with lunch.
See you then - mark your calendars!
Thank you.

2020 Spring Student Support
Welcome to a new year and new semester!
This post is to update you on the student support payment you are eligible for if you are a Project Sage scholar and meeting the criteria.
If you have passed all three of the Praxis Core tests, you are eligible to receive $4,000 per semester. Of course, you also have to be enrolled full-time, passing your courses and meeting the minimum score on the dispositions assessment. But those of you who are at this level meet this criteria.
If you have taken and passed at least one Praxis Core test, and have met the other criteria, you are eligible for $3,000 per semester.
If you are eligible for this student support, I'm going to wait a couple weeks to request the payment for you. The reason for this is we want to make sure your other funding sources are posted first, especially Pell (Title IV) if you're eligible for it. Once Pell is posted, the request for Sage support for those of you who are eligible will be processed.
As we've said in the past, please do not contact any of us and ask about the status of your support payment. I will let you know when the request for payment is submitted. After that, we have no way of tracking it. You'll just have to watch your student account info in my.uttc.edu to see when it's posted. Please don't call Financial Aid or Student Accounts either. As hard as it is, just be patient and watch for it in my.uttc. Again, we'll let you know when it's submitted. Once it's submitted, the money is usually in your hands within 8-10 business days.
Stay warm and I'll see you at the monthly Sage seminar that will be scheduled soon.
Thank you.
Lisa
